In a bid to drive a greater understanding and support the implementation of BIM with civil engineer surveyors, UK BIM Alliance is delighted to announce a formal affiliation with the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES).

Stephen Slessor FCInstCES, President, CICES, said: “Joining the UK BIM Alliance Affiliate Programme will ensure that civil engineering surveying is represented in the vital work the alliance is doing. There are areas we’d like to see more research in, and guidance on, for surveyors, and we’re looking forward to working closely with the alliance for the benefit of our members, the wider industry and the societies we serve.”

Garry Fannon FCIOB, UK BIM Alliance Affiliates Leadership Team, said: “We are delighted to welcome the CICES and its members as affiliates to the UKBIMA. This commitment is a positive step forward to improve communication and understanding between the Alliance and CICES members, delivering support, clarity and consistency as the Construction Industry digitally transforms.”

The Affiliate programme aims to bring together the professional institutions, trade associations and any other industry organisations to provide a consistent message and coordinated approach to digital transformation, working across silos to a shared objective.
