The UK BIM Alliance is delighted to announce a formal affiliation with the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT).

CIAT is a dynamic, forward-thinking and inclusive global membership qualifying body for Architectural Technology. It exists as a not-for-profit organisation to lead and promote Architectural Technology and sets and maintains the standards for education, practice and professionalism.

Francesca Berriman MBE HonDTech, Chief Executive, said “Architectural Technology professionals are at the forefront of technology in architecture advocating collaborative working and utilising BIM to achieve this daily in practices across the globe. Furthering our relationship with the UK BIM Alliance is a natural progression and we look forward to further developments and working closely as part of the Affiliate programme.”

Andy Boutle, UK BIM Alliance Engagement Co-Lead “We welcome CIAT who are already very mature in their understanding and approach to building information modelling.  CIAT being a part of the Affiliate programme adds further diversity from an Architectural Technology perspective.  We look forward to working them.

The Affiliate programme brings together the professional institutions, trade associations and any other industry organisations to provide a consistent message and coordinated approach to digital transformation, working across silos to a shared objective.
