We are very sad to announce the passing of John Eynon, a UK BIM Alliance Ambassador, from a form of lung cancer which was diagnosed in May and too late for treatment as it had spread throughout his body.  He died peacefully on Wednesday 16th June.  Our condolences, love and best wishes go out to his family.

John worked in design and construction for over 40 years and worked on many iconic projects, such as a £3b refurbishment framework of the Ministry of Defence as well as being a published author, lecturer and speaker.

He was a valued part of the team that founded the UK BIM Alliance back in 2016 and prior to that John worked on building the BIM Regions across the UK.  He has always been such an enthusiastic person about the industry offering support and sharing his opinions, often controversial but always available to talk and share his thoughts.  Outside of work John was fond of hats, trilby hats and was often seen wearing them in a variety of colours.  He will be missed.

A service is taking place at Downs Crematorium on Wednesday 7th July at 2pm and Michael, John’s son, has invited you to attend. Please let Pam know so she can put in touch with Michael.

Rest in peace John.
